The Assessment Consultation Team (ACT) of the California Department of Justice Office of Human Resources is seeking a highly motivated Research Data Analyst who has expertise in the areas of human resources, selection, and/or Industrial/Organizational Psychology. The selected candidate will use psychometric, analytical, and technical research skills to develop, validate and administer innovative pre-employment hiring assessments for the various Divisions/Bureaus within the Department of Justice.
The Research Data Analyst will provide consultation to hiring managers and stakeholders throughout the department and work on the development of various forms of selection tools, including but not limited to interviews, screening matrices, interactive performance exercises, and online multiple-choice assessments. The incumbent will also perform post-assessment analyses and interpretations using Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory statistics.
The successful applicant must be responsible, professional and self-motivated. Since ACT is a small team, the incumbent must also be willing to be an active participant in the continual improvement procedures and processes, and contribute to team efforts with enthusiasm.
